Listen Iowa State, This is your version of 2012. How will you survive UConn. Every shot you miss is like a sky scrapper falling on you. Every turnover is a an earthquake swallowing you up whole. Each block shot is a atmospheric disturbance. Each mistake will cost you your playoffs lives. Volcanoes erupting UConn is winning by 20. Lava burning every thing in its path UConn is now winning by 40. A Tsunami washes all your Elite 8 dreams away and that means the bench is in and your losing by 50. Thunder Tina Charles crashes the boards destroys all hope of surviving. Lightning Maya Moore rain down shots that makes your team malfunction and break down. Tiffany Hayes cuts slices slashes and shot 3's from the top of Mt.Everest which leaves you with nothing but despair. Kalana Green the shock wave draining baseline jumpers from left and right blowing your team off its foundation. Then begins life after armageddon trying to survive after the devastation no food no water no Elite 8 no chance of a championship. Remember the damsel on the train tracks expecting the hero to save her. UConn is that train and it wont stop. Its the UConn Express 75 departing from Dayton on its way to San Antonio running over the competition. So the tricycle that Iowa State is riding thru the NCAAs will go head up with the 18 Wheeler which is UConn. OH lord shall we say a prayer for Iowa. When the UConn Express 78 gets to San Antonio we will rejoice but in the meantime Iowa be afraid very afraid. Mel your the greatest |

Someday I hope to play in college and pursue basketball as far as I can. The MND basketball team isn't doing too good this year, they lost Kathryne Reynolds to a torn ACL injury kind of like yours. Hi Mel I read your book and i loved it. I'm actually doing a presentation on it. I'm a basketball player too and my try outs are next week and I hope i make it. I was really inspired by your book and when i compare it to my life I think i have it really easy.I live in Connecticut so every night when Uconn had a game my family would go in the family room and watch the game and my brother and I would always be hopping up and down when uconn made a great play and my dad would always yell at us to sit down and watch the game. So i grew up watching Cptv and i always wanted the garden gnome that they were selling in between breaks and halftime and at the end of the game but my mom always said No. So I'm at the midst of writing this presentation i better get back to it. -Erin |

| Hi Mel i am one of your favorite fans i cried when you tor your ACL i was so upset i saw uconn play for my first time when you were a senior and i was hoping to see you but i got to see you get your award for your 1,000 point.My whole door for my bedroom is filled with mel thomas stuff .I know you get commets like this all the time but your my favorite basketball player(well one of my favorites including renee mongerty,sue bird,maya Moore,carloine doty,ketia swanier,diana taursi,tina charles.So you can see i have alot of favorite players but i know you have a heart just like them so if you were still playing uconn basketball and did'nt graduate i know i would have a heart like you.My rec. basketball league is cool my team was undefeated last year we were12-0 i remebered my love for what you did for uconn through all my seasons of basketball since i was 6.When i was 6 you went to uconn.I know i seem like a pest but i am not i did a book report on you when i was done i got an A+ when i was done reading my book report the teacher keapt looking at me.I know that wheni play soccer i think of you to i already have 19 goals this year i know that my mom can't afford a scolarship when i am out of high school to play basketball at uconn so my cousin Megan and i are going to move outside ct. so we can get a scolarship.MY cousin megan has 21 goals but thats only because i had an injury in my knee i didn't need surgery i just had to wear a brace.gotta go love you from the heart of me michaela | |
