Hey Mel!!! I am going into the 7th grade and i LOVE basketball. I met you at your speech in Celina, Ohio. I was so happy to get to see you there and your speech really inspired me. I am working hard at basketball everyday and i want to go really far with it just like you. i am staying very active and doing things like cupstacking as i saw Emily Fox was on the USA olympic team w/ u. I never really saw uconn as a team i wanted to be a fan of until i read your book. I relized how hard all of you guys worked and still do each day and it amazes me. I hope next year on my 7th grade team everyone wants to work that hard and have each drill like it is the championships. I am sooo excited for basketball next year (and my other sports which are cross country and track) I hope I can meet you again and it'd be sooooo cool to get to play a game of pick-up or something w/ u.
